After watching the San Diego episode of ‘Broke Ass Stuart’ I had to visit there. Great city and my favorite was the Whaley House. I’m looking forward to The Asylum’s ‘The Haunting of Whaley House’ mainly because I took the liberty of doing my own tour after I researched the paranormal activity on the “internet”.
For those who don’t know much about the Whaley House, it’s listed as the most haunted house in America. Whether you believe in paranormal activity or not, it’s just creepy when you hear the stories of what happened on the site, starting with the hanging of Yankee Jim. He was taller than anticipated when they hung him and his toes barely reached the ground which resulted in 45 minutes of him swinging and slowly dying. Jim was not well hung. Also, there were horrible tragedies with children dying on the grounds which are horrific. The vibes from that alone sadden and scare me.
I’m a skeptic, but I took one person’s advice and stood very still on an area just outside the house. I got pins and needles when I felt a slight pounding coming from the ground. I was told it was from the bodies buried in the shallow ground there. Don’t worry there was no hand grabbing me and pulling me under like the mom did at the ending of ‘Carrie’, but still a fricking eerie feeling.
Definitely do some research on the Whaley House prior to watching the upcoming film and then watch Maria Olsen http://wp.me/p2eH5w-7z as ‘Anna Whaley’ in The Asylum’s ‘The Haunting of Whaley House’ due out July 31, 2012. I wonder if Regis Philbin will watch it since he failed spending a night there.
