If there’s an award for best opening credits scene, hands down (in more ways than one) “#1 Cheerleader Camp” wins that. This film was Mark Quod’s directing debut and I’m sure his thoughts were what can I do to get the audience’s attention in the first seconds? Urethra er EUREKA, topless cheerleaders jumping on trampolines. In addition to the opening scene, the transitions between some scenes were slow motion girls working out, practicing, stretching, I’m done.
Speaking of being done, there was a funny story with Andy (Seth Cassell) and a Japanese masturbation diet plan. Any time Andy was around cheerleaders working out, showering, dancing or in the gentlemen’s club he would work on his diet and each time it was different and rather comical. By far the most disturbing scene was when Andy was “working out” while they are peeping in on the girls showering and Andy is about to complete his routine. Michael (Jay Gillespie) fears the spooge will land on the girls so he dives and barehanded attempts to stop the spooge. Barehanded!!!
For the record the diet plan doesn’t work and I only tried it to verify for others.
I feel bad for Michael he really likes Sophie (Erica Duke) http://wp.me/p2eH5w-O and who wouldn’t she’s very attractive, unfortunately for Michael she’s constantly catching him in awkward situations that make him appear to be gay. For example, Michael feeling up a gay squirrel…mascot.
The comedy in the movie is simple and fun and the actresses/actors made the film very entertaining. What’s not to like about “#1 Cheerleader Camp” it has:
- Cheerleaders, strippers (aka gentlemen club entertainers/dancers)
- Foreign girl that’s constantly misinterpreted
- Funny jokes
- Mother daughter bondage threesome
- Paul Logan as the gentlemen club bouncer.
Finally, my favorite quote of the movie was “Did the skanky beaver want to go to college?”
What would be better? Maybe like I said in my “MILF” review, “Cheerleaders vs MILF”.
